WHEN?

The next Live@theLevee is on Oct 11 from 12-10pm. : Our First Anniversary Free Concert. Under a huge tent we are going to celebrate our hugely successful first year and enjoy the peak of Fall with more great food, family friendly activities, local vendors for one of a kind gifts, and 10 hours of the best live music around, featuring the danceable rock of Free and Easy from the Twin Cities and member of the Minnesota Hall of Fame, Led Penny- one of the great retro rock bands around featuring former MN Congressman Tim Penny, the outrageous and fun sounds of Bone Jugs and Harmony. The entire population of Winona and the surrounding area is invited, and so are you.

1:00 – 2:00pm  A Music Industry Workshop:Playbook of the Stars: The Highs and Lows of Being a Touring Musician. Come and listen to touring musicians talk about the challenges and joys of playing different cities, different venues, festivals, and barely full bars. How do they get up for these performances night after night, manage expectations, and in general adjust to the new reality of being a musician during times of spotify, youtube, and Pharrell Williams.

Invited panelists are Ben Lubeck (Farewell Milwaukee), Joey Ryan (FM, Joey Ryan and the Inks), Kyle Shelstad (Kitchen Dwellers). Moderated by Ellen Stanley of Minnesota Music Coalition.
