Live @the Levee will hold its next event August 2nd from 12-11pm @Levee Park, downtown Winona, celebrating the closure of the Great River Shakespeare Festival. A whole day of music, great food, vendors, entertainment and family friendly activities, …and it is FREE. In case of rain, we have a huge tent, where Main Street meets the Mississippi River!!

Our music headliner:
Those Darn Accordions, a rock and roll accordion band from San Francisco will be playing at 9pm. With a sense of humor that just won’t quit, this accordion-fueled rock ‘n’ roll band pumps out catchy originals, classic rock, funk and pumped up polkas. You won’t believe your ears!

The Bus Boys: a group of recovering bus drivers who decided to make some bluegrass music together over ten years ago and have continued to do so ever since.

How did Live @the Levee begin?
On October, 5 2013 a group of engaged citizens working with local officials began the important process of revitalizing Levee Park, a jewel of a public space on the banks of the Mississippi in downtown Winona. Together they decided on a very simple goal: produce a day long festival event including live music, food, family and recreational activities and call it Live@theLevee. The dream was to coax Levee Park back into being the town square, a place for the community to gather and celebrate that it once was. The first concert was a resounding success, an entire day of music and fun, attended by almost a thousand people, thanks to the generous support of over twenty sponsors and organizations.
