Acoustic singer-songwriter Jacob Grippen is playing in Winona for the first time since Mid West Music Fest 2014. Grippen is not only a musician, but also serves on the MWMF board as Chair of the Education Committee. He has proclaimed a commitment to continuing the excellent music scene in Winona, building the sense of community, and to helping develop an appreciation for music in young people here. He is filling in for Jake Illika Wednesday, October 8th in Jake’s regular spot at Ed’s (no name) Bar. His folk-pop acoustic stylings have been compared to The Decemberists and The Mountain Goats.
