The Wenonah Brewing Company is celebrating their third year of establishment in the Winona valley this summer. Year three will come with a few changes, including the start of their Local Taps and Jams. Local artists are playing every Friday night from 6-8 pm, accompanied with on-site locally made beer. As a bonus The Woodshed, headed by local culinarian Tom Babbler, is providing wood fired pizza just outside the brewery doors from 6-10pm most Fridays (check www.wenonahbrewingcompany.com for dates).
Tanner Brethorst, member of local bluegrass bands The Wide Awakes and Between Two Bluffs, kicked off the showcase in May. Noah Short, known by the stage name of Mista Clue, is playing all four Fridays of June. Though “Mista Clue” normally plays as the drummer for Jaybone Bell and the Restless Lights, the multi-talented artist is picking up the guitar for this month’s Local Taps and Jams Showcase. “Although artists are more than welcome to bring other artists up to play with them, what we were looking to provide was an opportunity for people to enjoy solo music from the members of the many bands of the Winona area” said owner Paul Brown.
Come enjoy great local food, music and beer every Friday at the Wenonah Brewing Company from 6-8 pm. For more information you can check out WBC or The Woodshed’s Facebook page or their website at www.wenonahbrewingcompany.com.
